Fiberglass tape is weaved by non-alkali fiberglass yarn, with good thermal resistant (up to 520℃) and insulation features. It is woven by twisted strands of fiberglass at right angles to one another, having the highest glass-resin ratio and mechanical strength of all fiberglass insulation materials. It resists most acids and alkalis and is unaffected by most bleaches and solvents.
These tapes can be regarded as a complete binding solution as they have tensile strength, reinforcing quality and a high rate of heat shrinkage. They can be widely used as wrapping, insulation banding (sealing) material for transformers, electric motors, and cables. It is also used as the binding of coils for electrical machinery and appliances.
